Exclusive photos: a look into bridal house Maria Senvo's first wedding dress collection

British fashion label Maria Senvo has launched its first bridal range in the UK and given HELLO! Online readers an exclusive glimpse into their collection.

Taken from the Latin name "Vena Amoris", Maria Senvo is an anagram of the term literally meaning the "vein of love". This romantic vision is reflected in the label's fairytale gowns, which feature pearl beading, delicate lace embroidery and Swarovski crystals among others.

"The designs mix a respect for the old with a flair for the new," founders Ryan Wilkinson and Holly Cuthbert told HELLO! Online. "What makes Maria Senvo unique is how we understand our woman inside our dress. Composed and sensual, she wants to be comfortable yet elegant, fashion forward but timeless."

When designing their collection, Ryan and Holly looked at women's everyday style and thought about how a bride would want to feel on their big day.

"We always say, 'If you're a cool girl and your morning to evening wardrobe is simple, paired down and effortless, what do you then wear to get married in?'" said Ryan. "That bride, someone not unlike ourselves we don't think, really is the inspiration for each and every design."

Iconic celebrity brides such as Kate Middleton and Jessica Biel have no doubt played an inspirational part in the brand's design process.

"Kate has brought on the revival of the sleeve," said Ryan. "Many of our pieces from the Fifteen Collection have a wrist length sleeve and it seems they are set to be our most popular styles for the new season.

"We loved the elements of colour in Jessica Biel's gown and it's become a firm favourite of ours. We incorporated a soft tonal pink into one of the pieces in our collection and it's just beautiful."

Ryan and Holly predict that this year will see a lot of experimentation with shapes and colour, with back detailing continuing to take centre stage. Their own collection features gorgeous scoop back details and lace edged scalloping.

"Our advice to brides who are dress hunting would be to stay true to yourself and don't be afraid to ask the experts," said Ryan. "With lots of designers and boutiques like ourselves taking to social media, we love to hear from brides-to-be.

"The independent bridal boutiques nationwide are a must-visit as they are filled with a wealth of knowledge and selection and they really can work with each individual bride to create their big day style, just how brides always dreamed."

Maria Senvo's first collection features 18 dresses that are made to measure and are stocked in independent bridal boutiques around the UK. Prices vary from £1,500 to £3,000.

A more romantic dress would come from Claire Pettibone's 2014 collection, which showcase empire-style gowns, double layered skirts, vintage lace and floral-embroidered backs.

The bride could choose 1920s-inspired dresses from Pronovias' 2014 collection, which feature feathers, pencil skirts and sheer overlays. wedding dresses 2014

The Hayley Paige for JLM Couture designs also focus on plunging necklines and see-through dresses, while pieces from the Reem Acra winter collection are heavy on the silk and satin and feature diamond detailed nipped-in waists.

Mary-Kate (right) has just got engaged to Olivier Sarkozy, a financial tycoon based in New York. Apart from being an actress and designer, the Olsen beauty has become a style icon in her own right known for her boho chic trademark style.

The Olsen twins are virtually inseparable and are always spotted together at parties or sitting front row at fashion shows. Apart from growing up on television screens, the sisters are also the masterminds behind fashion brand The Row.

This will be Mary-Kate's first trip down the aisle, whereas Olivier has been previously married to Charlotte Bernard and has two children with the writer. Dresses online Australia

Mila Kunis: wedding dresses the star could wear

Mila Kunis is hot on everyone's lips, with the Hollywood actress said to be engaged and pregnant.

The Ukraine-born beauty, 30, is getting ready to walk down the aisle with her actor fiancé Ashton Kutcher, but has yet to announce her wedding date.

Until the imminent nuptials, fashion watchers can only predict what the Black Swan star will wear on her wedding day. US boutique David's Bridal has shared their predictions on the dress style Mila could pick.

"Mila's favourite style is flowing, understated and classic," said Lucy Richards, director of UK merchandising. "We think that Mila would opt for a feminine gown with touches of lace and lots of movement.

"As she is slight in height she may even choose a shorter length dress with a defined waistline, showing off her slender figure and a low neck line to reveal her toned back and defined shoulders."

The Basic Rules of Choosing Bridesmaid Dresses And Outfits

Style of dresses: Low-profile, but elegant

Stylish but not blatantly eye-catching bridesmaid dresses that make people feel happy and in a festive mood are appropriate for bridesmaids. Generally the style should match the bride's wedding gown, and this should be taken into account first of all. It is very popular to have strapless bridesmaid dresses these days as they are exquisite and stylish and more modern than bigger, frumpier dresses. In terms of accessories there could be a ribbon around the waist, or three layers of pleats on the skirt. If it's a winter wedding then the dresses could be long ones. This also applies to more formal weddings too. However for more casual weddings or spring and summer weddings a shorter skirt is suitable and also gives the bridesmaids a fresh, more contemporary look.

Color of dresses: Pink or light colors

Pure white belongs to brides and pink to bridesmaids. Of course there are many possible colors for bridesmaid dresses, but pink is one of, if not, the most classic color for them. In terms of other options light blue, light green and champagne are also appropriate and look great on bridesmaids.

Just be sure to try a few different colors with the girls when choosing as the color can really help set off their respective skin tones (for instance, very pale girls will look washed out in very pale colors, but very strong colors will overpower them too, so choose warm, mid-palette colors like peach). If there are several bridesmaids, they can wear dresses of the same color but different styles. Actually even the color may not need to be exactly the same, and this makes every wedding individual and guests won't feel bored when seeing them.

Cut and fabric of dresses: A-line or Empire

Besides color, the fabric and cut are as important because they decide the shaping of bridesmaid dresses online australia. Sumptuous velvet, graceful chiffon, classical lace, or sleek satin; whichever fabric can really set off the figures and charm of the bridesmaids, as long as they are fittingly cut. What's everyone's favorite fabric? Perhaps consider this as a starting point.

Speaking of cut, bridesmaid dresses are generally tailored with an A-line or Empire style as both of these styles not only give women a very strict, nice profile, but are very forgiving for any figure. This is good as if you have more than one bridesmaid then there's a good chance that they'll have different figures, yet you'll want their dresses to fit them well, hence choosing A-line or Empire styles.

In general formal weddings will require a long skirted dress, so bear in mind the tone of your wedding when choosing bridesmaid dresses as you need them to look appropriate.

Shoes: Ornate and comfortable

Shoes with sequins, pailettes and rhinestones were made for weddings! High-heels with these decorations are best match for the dresses discussed above. And since there is a lot of work and standing around for the brides and bridesmaids to do in the wedding, the shoes should be comfortable enough for the brides to wear for the whole wedding.
